You have got to go here…Oceanpoint Ranch – Cambria, Calif.
When traveling, some people don’t care where they lay their head at night, seeing a hotel room as just a place to sleep…not me. I love the experience of staying in a hotel, it is part of the fun of vacation. When looking for rooms, I look for a balance between cost, location, and quality of hotel. Every once in awhile a gem is found…like the Oceanpoint Ranch.
Nothing pleasing me more than finding a quirky, fun, and unique location!!!
My husband and I have been visiting Cambria for almost 20yrs, and have stayed just about everywhere in town. Even though I am familiar with most of the hotels, I always research when planning a trip there to see where we want to stay. Like normal, on a recent stay I set out to find a hotel, and was lucky enough to stumble upon the newly renovated Oceanpoint Ranch. Located at the end of Moonstone Beach, nestled among trees, with its rustic theme, it looked to be the perfect mix of peace and romance that we were looking for.
Staying at the Oceanpoint Ranch was like going back to a simpler time (except that they had very nice modern amenities). Families were playing shuffle board, people were conversing around the fire, and walking hand-in-hand to the beach. It felt calming, a great escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
The rooms were huge, ours had a clawfoot tub, fireplace, and an ocean view. Although it was attached, it felt like our very own little cabin. Not all rooms are the same, so check to see what is available when making a reservation
The great thing about Oceanpoint is that it is close enough to town if you want to eat, play, or shop, but far enough away to escape. I loved being able to grab a bite, then head back to my room and read a book while watching the waves.
So if you are looking for a place to enjoy the little things, relax, and eat a s’more, than the Oceanpoint Ranch is just want you are looking for.
Oh by the way, it is super close Hearst Castle too!!!
